Rental
leases are offered on a monthly basis. The
rates quoted at left are for one month's rental

A $750 security deposit accompanied by rental application will hold
your reservation and guarantee your dates
– stays are booked on a first-come first-served
basis. Security deposit is refunded
after departure (see below). We accept payment by personal
check, cashier's check, money order or direct wire transfer. Application for a
reservation can be made directly on our
Book It!
page via our secure server. Applicants can also phone, fax
or e-mail reservation information us. Please note: until
application with security deposit is received, dates are not
guaranteed.
International Guests Please Note: We accept payment from
international guests by wire transfer in U.S. funds only.
All Guests Please Note: We reserve the right to require a
copy of a photo I.D. or other proof of identification.

Refund of Deposit
The $750 security deposit required to book
a stay automatically converts to a damage deposit upon check-in,
and is NOT applied toward rent. This deposit is fully
refundable within 14 days of departure provided the
following conditions are met:
-
No damage is done to the BBB or its contents beyond normal wear
and tear -
No linens are lost or damaged or other items of significance are
missing -
No charges are incurred due to contraband, smoking, or
collection of rents or services rendered during the stay -
All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in the outside
garbage can, and dirty dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. Also,
one load of laundry is started. (The BBB is a large rental unit with many
linens, including beach towels, and there is only so much time between guests
for housekeeping to prepare for new arrivals. Therefore if garbage and dishes
are not taken care of by our guests, and one load of laundry isn't started, our
housekeepers require extra time and personnel to render their services
for which the departing guest must be charged.) -
All keys are left in their lock boxes -
All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure -
The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the
owner) or by the local law enforcement

No Smoking & No PetsThe Bruce Beach Bungalow is a
smoke-free and pet-free vacation home. Smoking is not
permitted in the BBB under any conditions.
Any
evidence of smoking anywhere on the premises will result in
the full loss of guests' security deposits. Pets are
not permitted in the BBB under any conditions.
Any
evidence of pets having been on the premises will result in
the full loss of guests' security deposits. |
Applicant Screening and Falsified Reservations
Upon submission of application and deposit, prospective
tenants will be interviewed by phone. We do not rent to
young adults or spring-breakers, or anyone under the age of
25 unless accompanied by an adult or guardian. As the BBB resides in a
quiet residential neighborhood, loud partying of any kind will not be
tolerated and will result in eviction and forfeiture of
deposit and rental money if neighbor complaints arise and/or police are called to the premises.
Additionally, any reservation obtained under false pretense
will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit
and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to
check-in. |
Balance Due
For monthly rentals, in addition to the $750 deposit due
at time of booking, 50% of the total rent (including taxes and cleaning fee) is
due 90 days prior to check-in. The remaining 50% is due 14
days prior to check-in. If you are booking your reservation less than
14 days in advance, the entire rental fee plus deposit is
required to place your reservation. |
Cancellations and Handling of Deposit and Monies
SubmittedA 90-day notice is
required for cancellation of a booked monthly rental stay. In the event a guest must cancel a booked
vacation in less than the permitted time as outlined, all monies including deposit and partial payments
are forfeited
– unless the BBB can be re-rented for the same
stay on identical dates. We will make every effort to
re-rent a cancelled booking, and if successful, all monies
will be returned after re-booking occurs. We will even, with
permission of the canceling guest, make an effort to market
a last-minute cancellation at a reduced rate, in the hopes
of recovering most of, or a portion of, monies submitted.
In the case of re-renting a last-minute cancellation at a
reduced rate, the difference between the regular rate and
reduced rate taken for the time period will be deducted from
monies due to be returned to the canceling guest. |
Hurricane and Storm Policy
No weather-related refunds will be given unless:
- The National Weather Service orders a mandatory
evacuation due to either a tropical storm or hurricane for
Clearwater Beach Island
- The National Weather Service orders a mandatory
evacuation due to either a tropical storm or hurricane for
the area of residence for a BBB guest
The day that the
National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation
order, we will refund:
-
Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered
-
Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive and wants to
shorten his or her stay and arrive after the hurricane warning is lifted, and
-
Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to
arrive during the Hurricane Warning period.

Check-in, Check-out, Occupancy and Housekeeping
Unless otherwise arranged in advance, check-in time is after 3 p.m. EST and check-out time is 10
a.m. The maximum occupancy for the
BBB is 10 adults, and maid service during your stay can be
arranged for a separate fee. |
Phone, Internet and E-mail Service and Printer/FAX
The BBB offers unlimited local phone service in the
Clearwater area. Toll calls and long distance calls are not
free, however, and will be billed to our guests accordingly,
so we recommend the use of cell phones or calling cards for
long distance service. (There is no charge for incoming
long distance calls.) Calls to 900 numbers and
third-person and collect calls are blocked. The BBB also
offers high speed Internet access and a guest e-mail
account with Road Runner to send and receive web-based
e-mail. In addition there is a a
FAX/printer/copier/scanner all-in-one office machine. All
connection cables, software and easy to install instructions
are included, as are numbers for tech support if necessary.
There is no computer on the premises
– the Internet connection, e-mail account and office
FAX/printer are designed for guests who bring their own
laptops/computers.

Indemnity
In agreeing to rent this beach house, tenants understand and agree that the
property owners are to be held free and harmless from all
liability and claims for injury of any kind to any person
(including tenants, tenants' family and/or guests) or for property
damage of any kind whatsoever from any causes whatsoever
while in, upon or connected with the premises in any way
during the term of tenants' rental or during any extension of
tenants' rental.
